About
About the Artist
My name is Tamani Lynch. I was born in Jamaica, Queens, and spent my early childhood in New York before my parents relocated to the DMV area, where I grew up and began developing my artistic talents. I fell in love with art at the age of five, and over the past 10 years I’ve continued to grow and refine my craft as a painter.
My work is deeply inspired by Black culture, my Panamanian Afro-Latina heritage, and my love of music. I also enjoy creating pieces that pay tribute to influential and inspirational figures who have made lasting contributions to culture and history. Through my art, I aim to celebrate identity, culture, and the stories that shape who we are.
I attended Towson University, where I earned my degree in Art + Design. My time there helped me strengthen my technical skills while continuing to explore and develop my creative voice.
Art has always been more than just something I create—it’s a way for me to express myself and connect with others. My goal is to create work that resonates with people, sparks emotion, and leaves a lasting impact.
